FORMER Wanderers favourite David Lee will finally make up for the heartache of missing Bolton's Wembley play-off victory over Reading four years ago. The winger missed the memorable 3-2 thriller after breaking his ankle in the play-off semi-final against Wolves but will play at the national stadium for Wigan in the Auto Windscreens Shield final.
He was on the bench as his side beat Wrexham 3-2 away last night to win the semi-final 5-2 on aggregate. But Lee has started 27 of his side's 37 games this season and can expect to make the starting 11 for the big game against Millwall. "It will be great to go back to Wembley and make up for missing the Reading game," he said today. "The call it the Mickey Mouse cup but when you get this far it's a great experience."
Another ex-Wanderer, Scott Green, also hopes to be in the squad for Wembley after being out recently through suspension and injury.
