It's that time once more, for our Easter Parade,
So put on a show, with the hats you have made.
From a bit of this, and a bit of that,
Ribbons and net, that can make a nice hat.
Just line up and giggle, join in the joke,
A hat that is flat, or a bonnet with poke?
if you're not very clever, don't lose heart,
It's not about winning, just taking part.
If it's over the top, it's more likely to flop,
You may feel quite silly, in one that's too frilly?
It is such a thrill, there's no way to disguise,
Everyone enters with high hopes of first prize.
With the pat on the back, and great admiration,
For each of the others, a surprise consolation.
Dear Susan and Jack, make all happy and bright,
So give them a clap, as you wish them good night. Mrs J Foster
