I HAVE been reading in my BEN during the past few weeks, letters from people concerned about the lack of entertainment facilities in Bolton for our young people.
How many can afford to go to Middlebrook or Megaplex to the cinema, with bus fares etc?
As a former employee of the Navada Skating Rink, I'm sure a skating rink would be just as popular today as it used to be.
Every time I go to town, I see an ideal building for a rink or something similar, perfectly positioned, ample parking and within walking distance from buses in the town centre.
This is the old Normid store, perfect I would have thought.
Is there anything that can be done eg Lottery grant etc?
I'm sure it would bring a lot of pleasure to the young ones, and I might add to some older ones who love to skate, and pay for itself in the long run.
