DURING the pantomime season in December, members of 8Q English followed a course of work on theatrical language and performances with a focus on pantomimes.
The pupils then set about writing their own modern day pantomime in groups. Titles included: Little Blue Riding Cape, Cinderella, Sexy Cinderella, Starkie and the Lift and The Princess and the Skittle.
All pupils took part in planning, writing and performing in the plays. They were so keen that they even practised during the lunch break and after school to ensure that the performances would be professional and well rehearsed.
Members of Year 8 were invited to attend the performances just before Christmas. The event even raised money for our charity appeal. Everyone found the performances entertaining and thanks go to Miss Nash for organising the event.
