UP-to-date report from Mr Taylor, the Year Nine football manager:
Our Year 9 football team has just won the local inter-schools league, after being runners-up twice.
In Year 7, Parklands won the championship, while in Year 8,Southlands triumphed.
The soccer result that clinched the title was played on Thursday March 11 against St Michael's. Albany won 6-1 to ensure a 1005 record of wins over local teams.
The scorers were Buchan, Hughes 2, Swinhoe 2 and an own goal.
Results so far:
Southlands (away) WON 2-1 (Hughes, Booth)
Parklands (home) WON 3-1 (Buchan 2, Hughes)
(This was a really tough, close match)
Holy Cross (home) WON 10-1 (Buchan 3, Hughes 2, Swinhoe 2, Forrest, Booth, McMenamin)
Bishop Rawstorne (away) WON 8-0 (Buchan 2, Hughes 2, Olsen, Swinhoe, Booth, Ashton)
St. Michael's were played on Thursday March 11.

Back 4 - from Paul Swinhoe, Phil Buchan, Tony Kenny, James Berry (captain), Ian Olsen, and Gareth Sharples.
Midfield - from Leigh Booth, Carl Forrest, Kris McMenamin, Richard Ashton, Ian Olsen, Ben Duffy and Liam Hutchinson.
Forwards - from Adrian Hughes, Phil Buchan, and Paul Swinhoe.
Not surprisingly, a number of footballers from the Albany team have played in the Chorley town team. These are James Berry, Leigh Booth, Ian Olsen, Adrian Hughes and Carl Forrest.
