LINDSAY Hoyle MP for Chorley was shadowed by a civil servant who travelled from London to have a look around the constituency.
Sebastian Maddem, 26, pictured with Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle, from the Cabinet Office spent the day with Mr Hoyle as part of an exercise for young civil servants to find out the work of MPs.
And he took time out to visit the Chorley Citizen office in Pall Mall.
Mr Maddem is working as part of the Government's Action 2000 taskforce - the Cabinet Office's team specially set up to deal with the Millennium Bug.
He said: "I am shadowing Mr Hoyle so that I get a good working knowledge of exactly what an MP does when he is in his constituency.
"I have found the experience very enjoyable, and Chorley is a very pleasant and friendly place."
