LEISURE bosses are hoping to give Chorley a brand new image.
In January of this year, DC Leisure was awarded the contract to manage Chorley Borough Council's indoor sporting facilities.
And, since then, the management has wasted little time in finding out just what the citizens of Chorley really want.
Last Friday, Clayton Green Sports Centre joined Chorley's All Seasons Leisure Centre in getting the Images Health Studio treatment.
Both brand new fitness studios are now open and - with their wide range of cardio-vascular and resistance equipment - are up and ready for business.
The new state-of-the-art facilities will cater for all levels of fitness and ability and will tie in with the current trend of linking fitness to 'wellness'.
David Cross, chairman of DC Leisure, said: "There has been an explosion of health and fitness developments across the country and local authority leisure centres are leading the way forward.
"Chorley Borough Council is no exception and I know welcomes the changes being implemented at its facilities."
Councillor Mary Wilson, chairman of the Community Services Committee, said: "These new developments are exciting and with the provision of the latest state-of-the-art equipment are certain to prove very popular with our customers."
