As a Child I Went to th' Empire,
Taken there by my mother,
But they kept showing The Three Stooges,
Who kept on hitting each other!
The Stooges shouldn't have been like that,
After all, they all were brothers.
Yet even when on for a minute,
They soon started hitting each other!
You can bet that when the Stooges were on,
There was bound to be lots of bother.
Pulling hair, thumps and poking eyes,
That's the Stooges hitting each other!
Nowadays what makes me really laugh,
Are comedians rowing one after t'other.
And thinking of all those years ago,
Crying at the Stooges hitting each other. B Howarth, Alexandria Drive, Westhoughton
