CORONATION Street's very own eco warrior turned up in Bolton - to officiate at the opening of a major exhibition.
Spider (left), alias actor Martin Hancock, who has become one of the long-running soap's most high-profile characters - arrived at Bolton Museum, Art Gallery and Aquarium at the launch of an art exhibition by the homeless.
The exhibition was the brainchild of Bolton Aquarium manager Pete Liptrot and Spider seemed suitably impressed with the work on show.
"The artwork is fantastic," he said, "and it's great that Bolton Art Gallery has seen its way to launch the exhibition."
Caroline Ashworth, from the gallery, added: "As a busy, public building we are in an ideal position to raise awareness of homelessness.
"We're delighted to have the exhibition here."
