A BOLTON town centre pub is set for a major facelift.
Planning control sub committee councillors have given the go ahead for changes to the grade two listed building Maxims on Bradshawgate right
North-east based Vaux Breweries have put in plans which would turn the pub into a cafe-style Barcentro.
There will be folding doors installed, replacing windows, to give it a cafe look.
But there will be part pub's past tied up with this development for the future.
Council chiefs are insisting that the original Fleece Hotel sign which is carved on the front of the building is left uncovered by a new sign. It is currently covered by the Maxim's sign. Inside, the aim would be to re-create a Victorian pub and it would have a mezzanine floor.
