I think the new road markings on Moss Bank Way are well planned - with safety in mind. It is Government policy that roads should have cycle lanes.
The new road markings allow people wishing to turn right at the bottom of the hill to stop and wait safely without obstructing traffic.
With two lanes of traffic driving towards Blackburn Road, the tail back of traffic at the lights meant you often had to wait through four or more traffic light changes at peak periods.
The slowing down of traffic on Moss Bank Way, just means you have a shorter waiting time at the traffic lights.
