I NOTE with gob-smacked incredulity the erection of black lamps on Lower Deane Road. I take it that this design will carry on up Deane and Wigan Road, I think not.
What a complete and utter waste of cash - they don't even light up the road. Interesting though to stand outside the Post Office on Deane Road and look up Deane and Wigan Road, we see council trees stretching right along the road and lights being obliterated by Haslam Park trees. I have liaised with the council tree department many times. They cut a few twigs and depart, even though this area is a motorists' fast black spot coming down the hill.
The 3Ds! My house adjoins Haslam Park litter bin and dog toilet. It has an adjoining wall to the park. Up the road on my side is the 3Ds sign. Thought? I will apply to the 3Ds for assistant to rebuild some of the wall. Answer - forget it. You don't live in Deane, the boundary runs down the centre of Wigan Road. Therefore 3Ds sign is not in Deane and neither am I! (see address at end of this moan).
Finally, what a cracking idea to tunnel traffic onto Deane Road from dedicated outlets.
At last I'll be able to pick up the kamikaze taxi drivers more easily when they are only coming at me from two outlets.
