By Carly Robinson ONCE upon a mountain top there were three trees, and each one had a dream.

The first tree wanted to be made into a treasure chest and hold precious jewels... diamonds, rubies, opals, crystals, gold, silver and pearls. The second tree wanted to be made into a strong sailing ship and carry kings across mighty oceans.

The third tree did not want to be chopped down. He wanted to stay on the mountain top and grow and grow and grow, so that when people looked up at it they would be reminded of heaven.

One day three axe men came and chopped down the three trees. The first tree was made into an animal feed box. The second tree was made into a fisherman's boat used to catch smelly fish, and the third tree was taken to a lumber yard where it was cut into beams and left.

Years past by, and the three trees nearly forgot their dreams, until a young woman placed her baby in a manger in a stable at Bethlehem.

The tree realised it was holding the greatest treasure of all.... Baby Jesus.

The second tree was carrying tired travellers on the lake of Galilee when a storm suddenly picked up. A man stretched out his arms and said "Peace."

The man was Jesus, King of Kings.

The third tree soon realised he reminded people of God when it was made into a cross and Jesus was nailed onto the cross. Their dreams had come true after all.
