HOCKEY players at Southlands High School are celebrating after notching a double.
The year eight team (pictured) have just been crowned Chorley District hockey champions, having lost only one match all season.
And the under-16 team, made up of girls from years 10 and 11, managed to complete the season unbeaten as winners of their league, seeing off opposition from the Preston and Bolton areas.
PE teacher Debbie Fairhurst, who coaches both squads, said: "The teams have worked really hard all year to improve their hockey skills. They really enjoy playing, and six of the year eight team have joined a hockey league team in Wigan."
