FORTY-eight teams from all over the North of England met at Haigh Hall near Wigan to contest this annual event.

It is based upon a relay race of 12 runners with the winning team being the one with the fastest overall time.

The Chorley Harriers team consisted of Alan Alty, Mark Schooling, Jon Bell, Gareth Booth, Terry Walton, Chris Cowley, John Chaplin, Rick Bennett, Martin Hoey, Keith Johnson, Dave Lee and Peter Gillham. A good team effort.

Many Chorley Harriers saw this as an integral part of the build up to the London Marathon.
