CHORLEY Nissan Sunday League premier division leaders Leos opened up a four point lead at the top after winning 3-1 at Duke of York. First half goals from Lilley (2) and Walker always had the visitors in control despite Duke scoring a late goal through Bolton.

Goals from Togher, Cooper, Hendry and Wellington saw Harpers Villa win 4-0 at Railway.

In division one, Craig O'Riley struck four times for Edge Utd as they won 7-3 at Adlington Engineers. Catterall hit a hat trick for Rose and Crown in their 7-3 win at home to Duke of York. Another player to score a hat trick was Connell of Euxton Mills as they beat Brookes Arms 6-2.

In the second division, Adlington Nomads won 5-1 at Golden Lion and a goal each for Birchall and Capewell saw Adlington Rovers to a 2-1 victory over Withnell Utd, Gillette scoring for Withnell.

Talbot Arms proved no match for Coppull St Oswalds as they went down 9-0.

In the Guardian Shield, Roebuck won 4-1 at Red Lion and Farmers Arms 5-4 at Wheatsheaf after extra-time.
