Shevington Sharks 0 Adlington Rangers 40
RANGERS made it one more win on the road to promotion in Wigan on Saturday.
Despite a slow start they tightened up on their defence from the previous week and all the Shark attacks were snuffed out.
Mark Lowe was back after injury at full back and had an outstanding game, both in attack where he joined in the line and defence where he was solid throughout.
Keith Mitchinson is still injured but Phil Moss has slotted in well at half back, partnering Carl Parker.
They took charge in the middle and opened up Sharks' defence with ease and the tries followed.
Rangers' forwards also did a good job and any breaks the Sharks made did not get far, with John Barker and Neil Prescott making good runs out of defence.
They took an early lead with well taken tries by Mark Lowe, Neil Prescott and Phil Moss - all goaled by Carl Parker.
In the second half Rangers eased up but the Sharks had lost their attacking bite and Rangers scored further tries with Phil Moss dummying through for two more to clinch his hat trick.
Carl Parker also scored one and centre David Brooks another, Parker goaling three of them.
This was a good, all round team performance. Man-of-the-match was John Barker followed by Carl Parker and Paul Dootson. There is no game this weekend.

Rangers fought back with some good runs in the forwards which were well backed up. A pass was taken at speed by Stewart Amwyl who raced in for a try goaled by Martin Hill.
Tigers swept back and caught Rangers napping to score again. They scored another before the break to go in for a 24-6 lead.
Tigers stretched away with some breakaway tries, although Brian McNamara at full back made some good catches and runs but couldn't stem the tide.
