RESIDENTS of Clayton Brook have helped community leaders shape the future of their district.
The findings of a special survey of the area have now been made public.
The project was carried out by Clayton Brook Community Group which asked residents exactly what they liked and didn't like and how things could be improved.
More than 880 people answered the questionnaires.
William Mellor, secretary of the group, said: "We are very happy with the response.
"We don't want Clayton Brook to keep having a bad name. Clayton Brook is the centre of the universe as far as we are concerned.
"This place is getting a nicer place to live. We did this survey to stop it getting that bad reputation."
Residents were asked for their views on issues such as policing and rubbish, buses and vandalism.
"From that, the community group, with help of other organisations in the area, can try and work with the findings to improve the area," said Mr Mellor.
He added: "We would like to thank everybody who volunteered to help and get it published."
Copies of the survey are available at Clayton Green Library.
