I WAS very pleased at the attendance of over 250 people of all ages who braved the bad weather to attend the meeting at the Carnegie Hall about the Lee Hall site.
This proves that there is a major groundswell against the development; no doubt spurred on by the threat to Bowlands Hey.
Nearly all the questions put forward made sound sense and the one put forward by a teenage girl was excellent. Many of the people came from all areas of Westhoughton, not just in the Lee Hall area, as the scale of this development will affect everyone in Westhoughton, with the traffic and pollution.
To add insult to injury, the only one who would benefit is a Capitalist from Petersfield. If you stand too long in Westhoughton, a house will spring up next to you.
