A TROUBLE hit pub has served its last pint - until it re-opens after a £320,000 refurbishment.
As reported in the BEN, police were called after violence erupted in January at the Crofters Arms in Bradshaw.
Now brewery bosses are aiming to put all that behind them with a complete new look for the Bradshaw Road pub.
Allied Domecq will re-open the pub as a Mr Q's bar in May.
Managing the pub will be Paul Buckley and his partner Zoe Sherran.
Paul has already run the pub as relief manager and Zoe has previously worked behind the bar there.
The new look Crofters will offer customers the choice of two very different atmospheres within one pub.
One will be a relaxing environment aimed at a mixed aged group, and the other will have a more lively atmosphere with video screens, up to date mainstream music and pool tables.
Zoned music will make sure the right music is played in different areas of the pub.
Mr Q's pubs feature dedicated table service waiters and waitresses so customers can relax at their table without having to go to the bar to order their food and drink.
The Crofters Arms will be one of more than 270 Mr Q's pubs operated by Allied Domecq Inns around the country.
Mr Q's spokesman Graham Wright said: "Our research shows that people expect more from their local than just a pie and a pint.
"And Mr Q's is everything you expect in a pub and more."
