AN Outreach worker is now available in Deane, Derby and Daubhill to help people gain voluntary work.
Jeff Yacoobali, who is based at Bridge House, on Pool Street South is responsible for recruiting and interviewing volunteers and then referring them to their chosen field.
He is also responsible for making sure organisations who use volunteers know how to best provide for their needs.
He said: "I hope to provide business links into the community through Employee Volunteering, which is a scheme where businesses can contribute to the local community. Employee volunteering encourages the building of employees' personal capacity and of team working."
Anyone who wants to get involved with volunteering can contact Jeff at the Volunteer Bureau on 380692. He is also available at the 3Ds IT Learning and Resource Centre on Derby Street on Tuesdays between 9.30am and noon.
