I WAS very sorry to read in the BEN that Mr Salem is leaving Bolton for a post in Edinburgh. I wonder if they know what a great surgeon they are getting. Not only is he a great surgeon, he's a very thoughtful, caring and skilled man. I have been a patient of Mr Salem for the past five years. The first time you go to see him, he makes you feel at ease with his soft-spoken manner, and you know that, whatever the outcome of your problem, he will be there for you. He will be greatly missed by all his patients and friends.
I would like to wish him good health and success in his new post and also to thank him for his care and attention I have received in the past five years. I'm only one of thousands of his patients, but every one you speak to all say what a lovely man he is. You are not just a name on his patient list, you are a person and he treats you with respect. I think I can speak for everyone when I say Edinburgh's gain is Bolton's loss.
Good Luck and good health, Mr Salem, and thank you.
Mrs M Melding
