PLANNERS have been swamped with letters of objections to a homes plan in Lostock .
A bid by Crosby Homes to bulldoze a detached house on Regent Road and build a further 11 dwellings was given the go-ahead yesterday.
Despite more than 54 letters against the scheme, Bolton Council's Planning Sub-committee members gave the developers the green light.
Arguing for refusal, Cllr John Hanscomb claimed inadequate sewer drainage would be the major drawback to the new houses.
Crosby Homes plan to build eight detached houses and three town houses on the site.
But Cllr Robert Evans claimed that the land was ideal for housing which could be 'in-keeping' with the area.
