DEREK White and Nick Woods may be at the opposite ends of the age scale but when it comes to scoring runs, the Horwich duo are one and the same. The two batsmen are the oldest and youngest players in the club's second team but both cracked centuries in the game against Farnworth last week with 13 years old Nick scoring 116 and Derek 132.
They both carried their bats through the innings which ended at 264-0. It is believed that Nick is the youngest person to score a second team century in the Bolton League but he already has two more to his credit this season from junior matches.
He scored 100 not out for the Bolton League under 13s in May against the Lancashire League and followed that up with 151 not out in a cup match against Westhoughton.
