WE live in a block of flats owned by the local council and today, as the weather was hot and sunny, we allowed our great-granddaughter, who we had visiting us, to play in the communal garden.
Within half-an-hour she had to be brought in covered from head to foot in dog faeces. We had to strip her completely, put her clothing into the washing machine then give the child a thorough showering.
This, in spite of the Council undertaking to take responsibility for ensuring that pets would be controlled. This is totally unacceptable.
