I AM writing to express my concerns over the intention to site a Cellnet mast at Heaton Cricket Club.
I am very concerned that the dangers of such masts have not been fully researched, and that the links between electro-magnetic radiation given off from these masts and certain cancers show, that to put such a mast in a highly populated residential area is negligent.
I would also like to point out to you that the club was built by the community through its 'buy a brick' campaign in 1980. For them to do this for financial profit... is this the kind of community spirit we wish to develop?
