BOLTON and Bury Chamber says it is delighted at Bolton's success in retaining Assisted Area status for eight of its wards.
Mark Allanson, Director of the Chamber's Business Link, said: "It allows the Chamber through its Business Link to continue to help local businesses to expand in Bolton.
"We have an excellent record in securing grants and inward investment under Assisted Area status.
"It will encourage inward investment of the type of business we need to continue our local economic growth."
The bad news that Bury has losts its Assisted Area status has been sweetened by the town's success with a Single Regeneration Budget bid for East Bury and the Redvales ward.
