BURY got the news they were waiting for today when the final obstacle in their bid to sign Asian goalscoring star Baichung Bhutia was overcome.
The Shakers' bid to make the 22-year-old striker the first Indian ever to play in the Football League received a setback when his initial application for a work permit was rejected.
But they learned this morning that his appeal has been successful.
Bhutia is captain and star player of his international team, having played 40 times for his country and scoring 25 goals.
