VOLUNTEERS are urged to come forward to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Relief. The local branches of this national charity will be holding a collection at Tesco stores nationwide on Friday and Saturday, October 22 and 23.
All cash raised will go towards enhancing the local Macmillan nurse services.
Macmillan nurses make the lives of cancer patients and their families easier, and reduce unnecessary levels of fear about the disease. Collecting at the store is an easy way to help our work locally.
If anyone can spare an hour or more to rattle a tin, they should contactme on 0161 905 1133, and I will put volunteers in touch with their local Macmillan support group who are organising the collection here.
