The grass I know is greener on the other side
Maybe I'd be well advised to try
The field that I'm walking in is barren, brown and dry
And the situation often makes me cry inside
I know I'm sailing solo, even though there's someone there
Waves are rising even more
I know I'm sailing solo 'cause I know he doesn't care
The water must be calmer on another shore
The grass I know is greener
The taste of life much sweeter
The world looks alluring through the open door
'Cause he's sure opened up my trusting eyes .....
He's started telling lies
The grass for me is greener on the other side
Does he realise or wonder why?
I don't need him now, we don't see eye to eye
I've found my wings, see how I can fly, can fly
The grass I know is greener
The taste of life much sweeter
The world looks alluring through the open door
'Cause he's sure opened up my trusting eyes
He's started telling lies
