JONATHAN Scott is the organist for next Wednesday's recital at Bolton Parish Church at 7.30 pm.
This is the last in this year's series and Jonathan is taking the place of Stephen Disley, who, unfortunately, had to withdraw.
Jonathan is a final year student at the Royal Northern College of Music and is no stranger to the Parish Church. He gve the first recital when this annual series was re-introduced in 1997.
Since then he has won the RNCM's Organ Prize two years in succession, won the Plymouth Organ Competition earlier this year and was a finalist in the prestigious St Alban's International Organ Festival in July.
Among his engagements this year have been two performances of the Poulenc Organ Concerto (in Manchester and Hudderfield, appearances with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in Manchester, at the Promenade Concerts and on a new CD and a recital at Bromley Parish Church in Kent.
Recitals at Coventry and the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedrals are booked for later this year.
And there will be a performance of the Poulenc Harpsichord Concerto at the RNCM in November.
