IF you are one of the 85,000 people who live with multiple sclerosis (MS) or you know someone who has MS, then we need your help NOW. A new campaign has been launched, amid fears that the Government will restrict the use of drug treatments for people with multiple sclerosis (MS).
For the first time ever, the Government has promised that it will listen to people with MS and take into account their views, when it makes its ruling on the use of the treatments, beta interferon and glatiramer acetate. This offers people with MS a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the Government decision on their treatment options.
I strongly urge people with MS, their friends and family to come forward to make their voices heard. We have compiled a questionnaire for you to fill out to give you the opportunity to make a difference.
Anyone who either has MS - the most common neurological disease among young adults - or knows someone with MS, should call freephone number: 0800 731 7679 for a questionnaire. The line will close at 5pm on September 22. After this time, questionnaires can be obtained by writing to freepost address: MS Research Trust Questionnaire, FREEPOST (TK2), PO Box 6, Hampton, Middlesex, TWI2 2BR.
Please help us to put your case forward to the Department of Health.
Many thanks
