I am 100pc in favour of the Valley designer outlet scheme IF, included in the scheme were a free bus service to and from the town centre.
I go to Boundary Mill in Colne because of the large selection and good, reasonable prices. I don't go to Bolton town centre because of the high car parking charges. If I want a "shopping day" I go to Bury or the Trafford Centre.
It would be wonderful to visit the Valley then have the free facility to visit the town centre with no limit on time or hassle of finding a car park, knowing that when I've had enough I can just hop on a bus back to my car.
Bolton have tried park and ride schemes in December during the years but the parking was a long way away and the buses were not frequent enough.
This could be a superb opportunity to benefit both the Valley and town centre equally.
