A BOLTON seminar is set to tackle the problem of alcohol and drugs in the workplace.
With a series of discussions on topics such as the development of alcohol and drug policies, the role of the police and the legislative and statutory duties imposed on employers, the event hopes to provide information and support to employers.
Steve Saunders, the senior health adviser from the organisers, the Engineering Employer's Federation Lancashire, said: "The problems associated with drug and alcohol misuse are many and varied and can lead to enormous repercussions for both employers and employees.
"This full day seminar aims to address and tackle these problems by assisting managers and workforce members in taking the right steps in implementing effective policies."
The seminar, co-hosted by the North West Trade Union Congress and EEF North-west, will be held on October 26 at the Reebok Stadium.
A place on the seminar costs £15 including VAT. For further details, contact Vicky Squires on Bolton 457711.
