Liam Pilkington and Warren Hornby saw the Reserves to 2-1 win at Hesketh, the thirds went down 6-0 at Walshaw and the fourths drew 1-1 with Mancunians, Andy Evans scoring.

Leigh Ath 5 Accrington Ams 1 The visitors took the lead virtually straight from the kick off but gifted Latics an equaliser when a defender put through his own net. Within seconds it was 2-1 for Leigh as Steve Marsh pounced. The same player scored again on the hour with heavy pressure from Danny Wilson forcing another Accrington player to put past his own keeper for the fourth and substitute Johnny Knowles banging in the fifth.

Right back Gordon Spowart was man of the match. The Reserves lost 6-4 to Walshaw with Clark Dobson (MoM), Tony Lewis, Paul Wilkinson and Neil Keegan scoring. Chris Wilcox (2) and Chris Blood saw the thirds to a 3-0 win over Broughton Amateurs (MoM Rowan Garvey) and two goals each from Steve Chadwick and 50 year old Alan Brown and one from Paul Blackburn saw the fourths to a 5-1 win over Roch Valley. Old Bolts 1 Rochdale St Clems 0 A polished performance from Bolts earned a notable win over quality opposition. Chris Mitchell, promoted from the Reserves, got the vital goal with a brave header on the end of Rick Watkins' cross. Chris O'Mara in midfield won the man of the match vote. The Reserves fell to a first defeat of the season 3-1 at Old Blackburnians. Rivington 2 Walshaw Sports 0 A close encounter played at Rivs' new home at Haslingden saw Walshaw match them stride for stride until the 77th minute. Tragically man of the match Rick Manning blotted an otherwise perfect copy book when he put through his own goal. Danny Mills who had had a penalty kick saved on the stroke of half time set up Rivs' outstanding player on the day Neil Kershaw for the second in the last minute.

Mark Height (three) and Danny Holmes saw Rivs Reserves to a 6-1 win at Rochdale, whilst the thirds won 7-2 at Rossendale. Sports' Reserves won 6-4 at Leigh, the thirds lost 5-2 to Little Lever and the fourths came out on top in the derby game with Bury GSOB by an emphatic 6-0 scoreline. Division One

Little Lever SC 0 Bolton County 0 It was a very pleasing day all round for Little Lever with two victories and two draws for the club's teams. The first team had the upper hand throughout against free scoring County, hitting the bar twice. Midfielder Andy Fayne was named as man of the match. Mike Jones and sub Phil Whittaker in injury time saw the seconds to a 2-1 win at Wyresdale. Veteran Dave Warburton was outstanding for the thirds in a 5-2 win over Walshaw, whilst the fourths drew 2-2 at Southport. Radcliffe Ams 5 Broughton Ams 0 The Ammies hit top note with goals from Rick Smith (2), Gary Andrew (2) and Scott Hannah. Simon Gudniewicz was man of the match. The Reserves lost 2-1 at Highfield with Neil Dugdale (MoM) scoring, whilst the thirds won 3-0 at home over Wyresdale with goals from Kenny Walker (MoM), Mark Crossan and Chris Bluer. Division Two

Horwich RMI 1 O Blackburnians 1 With the whole midfield department missing for this game manager John Sumner had to be content with just the one point. Man of the match Chris Williams got the Railwaymen's goal. Sladians 0 Roch Valley 5 Injury hit Sladians crashed to a first league defeat of the season with keeper Ian Bradbury the star of the show.
