I'M Joe Inglis, from the BBC1 programme - Vets in Practice and I'm writing to your readers today with a special appeal.
In March 2000, the charity Scope (formerly The Spastics Society) will be organising the second year of their fantastic White Peaks Ski Challenge in Austria. The aim of this event is to ski 24 peaks in under 48 hours.
I took part in this unique event last year because I liked the idea of a challenge and to raise money for Scope. The event is fast and furious, I thought I was a good skier until I met the rest of the group! The standard of skiing is the highest I've ever experienced, and of course the apres ski was brilliant; what a fantastic bunch of people, they were easy to talk to and we all shared an end goal - to complete the event for Scope!
Scope are looking for over 100 volunteers to take part in the four day Austrian adventure 2000. Your readers can call 0500 575222 for a copy of the information pack.
I would without hesitation take part again, this is really an amazing trip and all you need to do is raise money for Scope's work with children and adults with cerebral palsy, what's more it could be FREE! In return, all flights, accommodation, food, ski passes and ski hire will be provided.
I'm backing Scope's great work - how about you?
Kind regards
Joe Inglis
