SCHOOL dinner times have been given a style make-over in a bid to make them more attractive to pupils.
Staff from Bolton's school meals service have literally brightened up the daily experience of youngsters' lunchtimes with a bold new look.
And teachers at Sharples High School were so impressed with the red and yellow colour scheme that they decided to invite special guests including Bolton North East MP David Crausby to an official launch party to celebrate.
Elaine Long of Bolton Council's Commercial Services department said: "It's a whole new design concept for school meals with a very bright and bold approach.
"As well as the colour scheme itself there are a variety of bold signs, logos and menu boards."
The cafeteria at Westhoughton High School has also been re-designed and staff there will host a launch party on October 14.
