Chorley Ladies FC 14 Bridge Ladies FC 0 THIS was by far Chorley's best performance of the season as they progressed to the second round of the Lancashire Cup.
Within a minute Sharon Schofield had put Chorley ahead and she made it 2-0 within six minutes.
With Chorley playing some crisp football against their Rochdale opponents, Debbie Kirkman scored two in six minutes to make it 4-0 on the half hour mark.
Becky Rigby scored the fifth with a right foot shot on the turn and a minute later Jo Schofield created the sixth when her mazy run past three defenders resulted in an own goal.
Three minutes before the break, Sharon Schofield completed her hat-trick to make it a magnificent seven.
Chorley manager Karl Rigby decided to make early substitutions at half-time and brought on Nicola Ainscough, Sally Spencer and Annette Deller.
Within seconds of the restart Nicola made it eight. Debbie Kirkman completed her hat-trick and Ainscough took her tally to four in the one-way traffic. Chorley U-14's 1 Preston NE U-14s 4 THE under 14s were beaten by top of the table Preston North End but showed plenty of promise.
Club manager Karl Rigby said: "The game was 1-1 for a long period and we were only beaten in the last ten minutes. This was only their third competitive game and they will get a lot better."
