THE search is still on for a precious parrot.
Olly, a valuable macaw, is still on the loose after flying off from his owner Bernadette Boon almost a fortnight ago.
Bernadette's hopes were raised when she received a call saying Olly had been spotted in the Adlington area, but sadly it turned out to be another, smaller parrot.
But there have been two more sightings of him in Whittle-le-Woods -- he had been spotted there before -- the latest close to the Sea View pub.
"We really think he's around that area now," said broken-hearted Bernadette, aged 36, of Wright Street, Chorley.
Olly made off as he was being taken for a day out in his special harness and lead.
Bought from a breeder in Shropshire, Olly is a South American Military Macaw, a species placed on the Endangered List. They can be bred for sale in this country, but only under special licence.
Bernadette is offering a reward to anyone finding him. She can be contacted on 01257 412976.
