MARK Babych, the Octagon's recently appointed theatre director, is finding fame in Estonia.
The play Car, written by Chris O'Connell and directed by Mark, is being performed at Estonia's state theatre in Tartu.
Mark will be going out there in November or December.
The play was first staged by Mark in Coventry last year as part of the Belgrade Arts for Life Festival and was co-produced by the Belgrade Theatre and Theatre Absolute.
It went on to the Edinburgh Festival and was awarded a Fringe First before transferring to London where it won a Time Out Best Fringe Production of the Year award.
The play examines crime and the nature of justice and involves a mediation session between a young offender and the owner of a stolen car.
Car was translated for Estonia in Paris. Interest has also been expressed in the play in New York, Buenos Aires, Cologne, Cork and Dublin.
Mark said: "The play seems to have tapped into a worldwide issue. "
