OLD homes in Radcliffe are taking on a new look in a multi-million pound renewal programme.
Terraced properties in Pine Street, Schofield Street and Cross Lane are undergoing a major facelift with a £600,000 private sector grant.
The work on more than 40 homes involves the rebuilding of the perimeter walls, roof and chimney.
This will be followed up by environmental improvements to both the roads and pavement.
Repairs are expected to take about 16 weeks to complete. Bury Metro councillors are hoping to attract more money to carry out similar work in nearby streets in Radcliffe.
