I got the rise in my pension today,
The sight of it fair took my breath away.
What shall I do with all that money,
Perhaps go abroad where it's always sunny.
But I think somehow that's not for me,
You can't get far on 75p.
So this grand increase won't ease my cares,
Guess I won't be getting that lift for my stairs.
No I think I'd better ponder longer,
Before I fritter away me wonga.
Now I know what I'm gonna do,
And I'm sure you'd do the same thing too.
We know this country's in a mess,
But how insulting is this largesse.
If this is Tony Blair's best offer,
Then this advice to him I proffer.
Take back the money Mr Blair,
And deposit it up your derriere.
