FARNWORTH AODS have two people in charge of the music for their production of Mack and Mabel.
Musical Director Ewan Anderson is supported by Assistant Musical Director Peter Faint.
Ewan graduated from Manchester University with a MusB (Hons) after studying piano, trombone, singing and composition.
He is a post-graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in conducting and repetiteur.
He has conducted professionally for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Paragon Ensemble and has been MD of productions at Sheffield Crucible, Chichester Festival Theatre, the Hull Truck Company and at Harrogate.
Latterly he has played keyboard for touring productions of Blood Brothers, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. He has been MD at Sale Nomads and North Cheshire.
Graduating
Peter Faint started playing piano and saxophone at the age of nine. He played with the award-winning Norwich Students Jazz Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
He studied music at Lancaster University, graduating with a BMus (Hons) degree and later with a MPhil music research degree.
While at Lancaster Peter directed the University Big Band, ran a jazz trio and a six piece funk band.
He has been musical director for shows such as Kiss Me Kate, The Boyfriend, The Fantastiks, Guys and Dolls and Cabaret.
Peter has performed in many venues road the North-west and has a variety of hotel residencies both with bands and as a solo pianist. He has been MD for four touring pantomimes for which he arranged and record all the music. He runs a number of jazz groups and also works as a studio engineer.
Mack and Mabel runs at the Albert Halls from April 10 to 15, with a matinee on Saturday.
