RYAN Souter will be added to the Bury squad on duty against Scunthorpe for tonight's game at Cambridge.
Left back Souter has been brought in to cover for Paul Williams, who will be out for a fortnight with an ankle injury.
Bury have another left back Dean Barrick sidelined until next season after he fractured his eye socket in two places and broke his nose in the 1-0 win at Chesterfield last Tuesday.
Lutel James has two more games before flying out to link up with St Kitts on international duty.
He will back towards the end of April and will be available for the final three games of the season at home to Reading on the April 29 and away at Stoke on May 3 and Notts County away on May 6.
"The game at Cambridge is a chance to show them that we are better than we were when they beat us up here recently," said Preece.
"That was one of our lowest points of the season. It's also an opportunity to climb a little higher up that table."
