Wanderers will go into the new season with the backing of more than 10,000 Reebok regulars.

Last season's valiant promotion bid coupled with a summer sales drive with new initiatives has seen support for Sam Allardyce and his squad soar.

The groundswell of support is expected to see attendance figures eclipse season's average of around 14,000 - a major boost for the manager and the team after a difficult pre-season.

Fans have taken advantage of a range of benefits on offer, with prices pegged at last season's levels plus significant savings for early purchase. But sales continued to hold up after the discount deadline and Saturday's League opener against Burnley will attract a huge derby crowd, which will include 10,300 season ticket holders.

In addition to the various incentives, including discounts on merchandise, free admission to reserve games at Leigh RMI and a free copy of the Wanderers' Yearbook (priced £5), season ticket holders are being offered a 20 per cent discount on tickets for the 1st round Worthington Cup tie at home to Macclesfield on Tuesday, August 22, provided they are purhased on or before Friday, Aug 18.

And, in a new initiative, season ticket holders will receive a 'Passport to Middlebrook', offering a range of discounts at 19 retail outlets on the site.

Wanderers' commercial director Gareth Moores said: "We are absolutely delighted that so many of our fans have taken advantage of our promotional initiatives on season tickets. We have tried to add value for the fans and to make football at the Reebok Stadium more accessible and affordable to everyone.

"Our new 'Passport to Middlebrook' promotion shows that we are keen to forge links with local businesses and fully involve the club with the wider community and the town.

"Wanderers fans still have time to buy their season tickets and take advantage of the many benefits. We would like to thank fans for their support and loyalty and look forward to seeing them 'Backing Bolton' over the forthcoming season."

Car parking prices for matchdays have been pegged for a fourth consecutive year at £5 per car or £117.50 for the season.

Subsidised matchday transport will again be on offer with prices on 15 bus routes unchanged at £1 each way. Timetable information is available at the ticket office on 673601. Opening hours are: Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (7pm on the day before a home fixture), 9.30am to kick off time (matchdays) and 9.30 to 3pm (non matchdays).
