I WRITE with regard to the disgusting state of our streets around Bolton.
I have never seen so much litter and am ashamed to say that I live in this town.
As today I drove along Topp Way, I couldn't believe the amount of rubbish along the 'grass' edges and the back streets around the Heaton area, especially around Morrisons supermarket on Mornington Road.
Where are all the local road sweepers? Could 'the powers that be' remember next time a supermarket wants planning permission, to ask them to employ street cleaners to pick up all the rubbish.
It might help if more rubbish bins were placed around Bolton.
I have had the good fortune to visit other countries like America and France, and you never see any rubbish around their streets. They are immaculate and it is a pleasure to drive around there.
Please Bolton Council - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!!
