NEVILLE Moss has been through a frightening, life-changing ordeal. Accused of indecently assaulting pupils, he has endured a lengthy and devastating court case, and been found not guilty.
The 50 year-old Westhoughton grandfather denied charges of indecently assaulting pupils, and the case dramatically raises questions about the acceptable behaviour of teachers in today's classrooms.
Dealing with children is now a minefield for teachers and other professionals, as they constantly walk a fine line. Each school has a teacher responsible for keeping up to date on child protection issues and advising other teachers on this.
We hope that Neville Moss, whose teaching reputation has been established with generations of pupils, can now put this incident behind him and get on with the rest of his life.
