A BOLTON man continues to fight for life in hospital following an horrific car crash into the side of a house.
Security guard John Maloney, aged 42, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital after his van careered into a house on Milnthorpe Road, Breightmet, on Tuesday afternoon.
It is believed Mr Maloney, of Crossdale Road, suffered a seizure at the wheel.
He was later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at Rochdale's Birch Hill Hospital.
His condition today was described as "stable" but a hospital spokesman said he remained on a respirator.
Mr Maloney's fiancee Maggie Simmons, aged 56, was a passenger in the van at the time of the accident.
She suffered minor injuries and was released from hospital shortly after the crash.
The couple were due to be married next month.
