A PLEA for extra time has been made by a Bolton councillor over controversial plans to build changing rooms for young footballers.
Members of Bolton's planning committee deferred the bid by Ladybridge Football Club to build the pavilion on Tempest Road, Lostock.
Councillors want to hear the views of local wildlife experts before deciding on the application which has been earmarked for approval by Bolton Council officers.
However, at yesterday's meeting, Cllr David Wilkinson said: "This application has been floating around for several months.
"A lot of information that should have been on the table from the beginning has not been obtained."
Cllr Eric Hyland called for a delay in a decision so that more information could be obtained.
More than 100 residents have signed a petition objecting to the plan claiming it will spoil woodland.
