SUN WORSHIPPERS heading abroad for their holiday can now take advantage of the North West Health Authority's travel health exhibition.
Many studies have shown that people fail to take the necessary steps in following a healthy routine when they go abroad and often expose themselves to high health risks that are often not found in the UK.
The exhibition is particularly aimed at travellers who are going to countries where there is a high risk of infectious diseases such as Malaria and Tuberculosis and will be set up in various community settings, including Preston's Mela festival, Preston Muslim Forum, Gujerat Hindu Centre, Sahara in Preston and both the Unity and Nguzo Saba Centres.
Gulab Singh, the health promotion manager said: "It is important that people know that simple precautions such as vaccines and anti-malarials, as well as dietary precautions, can be taken to ensure that a holiday abroad is not spoilt by health."
